The Gendex DP 700 Scanner, the state-of-the-art imaging machine, allows dentists to fit dental implants with unrivalled accuracy.

Dentistry is constantly evolving, and over the past 5 years, one of the biggest leaps in technology has come from imaging, which is used in the dental practice. At Buckden Dental Clinic, we have acquired a state-of-the-art 2D/CBCT Scanner developed by one of the leading dental imaging companies in the world, GENDEX, known for its reliable, innovative imaging equipment, and which offers a wide variety of solutions for both general dentists and specialists.

The company’s strong history in X-ray manufacturing, along with a deep dedication to delivering products that exceed the needs of dental professionals, has earned Gendex recognition as a global leader. The Gendex DP-700 gives clinicians dependable image capture of a wide variety of radiographs. These images are valuable for diagnosis and treatment planning of caries, root investigation, orthodontics, implants, and other surgical procedures, as well as patient education in both 2D panoramic and 3D CBCT scans.

We accept dental referrals for our 3D Scanner. We return images to the referring dentists upon completion.

The GXDP-700’s panoramic imaging includes a wide variety of projections, including bitewing and TMJ, to expand your radiographic capabilities.

Other projections consist of orthogonals, frontal dentition, and sinus, and most views also allow for the selection of either right or left exposures. With an automated 2D/3D sensor exchange, two sensors that rotate to capture both 3D and panoramic images, clinicians merely press a button to switch from taking 3D images to 2D panoramic projections for a lower targeted dose to the patient.

With both Full arch and targeted sectional scanning, a CBCT scan can be achieved in the perfect location to suit the patient’s anatomy.

This gives both accuracy of imaging and dose reduction by only imaging and exposing what you want to see. The scanner offers an 8cm wide scan for full arch cases, allowing for a scan big enough to cover the full dental arch but small enough to minimise the reporting area to avoid areas such as the TMJ and spine. As well as the option to have a 4cm scan diameter to cover a section of the dentition of interest for smaller cases.

The Gendex DP700 boasts one of the highest special resolutions on the market today.

With images being captured from a standard 0.3mm (300 microns) to an impressive 0.133 mm of detail. Due to this detail, it opens the imaging up to other areas of dentistry, such as periodontal and endodontic work and not just implants.

Dose

With CBCT Doses as low as 1.5x an OPG (in low dose mode), with standard full arch scans only 3x the dose of an OPG and the option to reduce the dose further by using the targeted (4cm) sectional scans as well as the 6cm height it means that you will never over scan into radiosensitive areas (like Orbits or Thyroid). The Gendex DP-700 offers one of the lowest CBCT doses on the market.

Had my first appointment at Buckdon Dental Clinic last week for a check up, I was made to feel very comfortable from the moment I walked in. All staff were very courteous, and a thorough check up of my mouth and teeth was carried out, and another appointment made for the work I needed doing in less than 4 weeks. I speak highly of the dentist I saw. and so pleased that I've managed to find a Dental Practice like this one, who gives such care to their patients.

Short version; A huge thank you to Debbie, Georgiana and everybody else in the team. All of the staff at Buckden Dental Clinic are extremely welcoming, warm and friendly. If you are nervous about dentists, like I used to be, then this is 100% the place for you to go.The detailed version;I wanted to take the time to write a detailed review of Buckden Dental Clinic because of the impact it’s had on my life and confidence. I didn’t go to the dentist for a long time (over 15 years) and as you can imagine over time my dental hygiene got worse to the point I was both embarrassed about going to the dentist, and afraid of the amount work that might be required.The reception team are all lovely! They’re extremely friendly and inviting and got me seen and signed up on the same day when I called up one day for an emergency appointment due to an extremely bad toothache. I explained to them that I was nervous, and they paired me with Debbie whom they explained is fantastic with nervous patients.Debbie is an absolute star and immediately made me feel more relaxed and comfortable, dismissing any worries I had about my “bringing a dirty car to an MOT” mindset and immediately went to work in checking my teeth reassuring me that there wasn’t nearly as much work needed as what I had worked myself up into expecting. To put it into perspective how much Debbie has helped my mindset to allow me to relax, I had to catch myself nearly falling asleep during a filling!I was also referred to the clinic’s dental hygienist, Georgiana. This was probably the part I was least looking forward, worried about how much it was going to hurt. Georgiana is brilliant, she used plenty of numbing cream for my first session and would constantly check on me and re-assure me throughout the process - which was nowhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be. The confidence difference I have in my teeth after the work Georgiana has done is night and day. I used to do my best to not let me teeth show in any situation, and now I can laugh and smile without needing to worry!Truly, I would like to thank everybody at the Buckden Dental Clinic for being so welcoming and completely changing my mindset about going to the dentist - and a special thank you to Debbie and Georgiana for the wonderful work you have done for me.

As always a very warm welcome, the orthodontist Natasha was just amazing so calming (I am a nervous patient) explained everything and put me at ease. I already had left a 5-star review after my first visit, but I don't think it does the service justice, so I wanted to elaborate.I have always been deathly afraid of dentists, to the point I hadn't been for 20 years, knowing my teeth were in bad shape. I had a crisis this year that I knew would result in me having to visit a dentists. I found Buckden highly recommended online, but I still thought I'd have the worst time. I knew I'd have to have a number of extractions, and a long treatment plan, which really scared me, I remember turning up for the first time, shaking and crying too scared to open the door I couldn't even sit in the waiting room!Anyway, I have now had those extractions. I have visited Buckden 6 times now, and I cannot express how grateful and thankful I am for Aishah (my dentist) and all the staff there who truly make me feel comfortable, calm, respected, and cared for from start to finish, I have never had a service I can recommend more.I can firmly say now that the terror has faded away, and I genuinely have full faith and full knowledge that I'm in the safest hands. If you're looking online for reviews like I was, deathly afraid, terrified of what it's going to be like, I couldn't recommend Buckden more. I had an appointment with dental hygienist team Georgiana & Kerry yesterday and was really impressed. I usually dread these visits but this time it was a completely different experience. Georgiana is not only very skilled and knowledgeable but also clearly loves her job which really came across. She explained everything in a way that was helpful and easy to understand, and gave me lots of great advice I can actually use. From someone who has always struggled with odontophobia (fear of dental treatment and management) they are exceptionally mindful, patient and understanding professionals, always seeking my best interests.
