Imaging at Buckden Dental Clinic.

All imaging appointments are to be booked through our reception team. Your radiographic and CT examinations take place in our ground-floor, dedicated Radiography/Acquisition suite. Imaging results are available immediately for radiography or CT scans, unless the image is to be sent for specialist reporting. Please allow 30 minutes for your examination.

We accept all major credit cards and cash. All imaging service fees are due at the time of the appointment. Your dentist may ask you to wear a plastic guide during your scan – please be sure to bring this along.

3D scanning of the jaws

Our high-resolution 3D scanner is a new-generation Cone Beam CT scanner, specifically intended for examination of the jaws and skull. The scan time may be as little as 10 seconds, and the patient is examined in a seated position rather than lying down, so patient comfort is much improved. The scans set a new standard in planning for dental implant surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, ENT surgery, endodontics, periodontics and orthodontics. This data can also be processed by our sophisticated software to identify and select a particular anatomical region. We can then view this as a high-resolution 3D image.

2D panoramic radiography

This examination produces a 2D image of all your teeth and jaws (including buried teeth), and is useful for planning dental treatment, orthodontics, oral surgery, or simple dental implant surgery.

SLCA agreement

In accordance with guidance issued by the European Commission, we have adopted the latest best practice, which requires dentists who refer patients for CBCT scanning to have a service level agreement in place with their chosen CBCT scanning referral centre.

Please complete and return your agreement along with copies of your relevant CPD certificates as soon as practicable so that you can start to refer patients for scans. Please also complete and return a patient CBCT referral form outlining all of your requirements.

Another visit yesterday, this time for a scan as part of ongoing treatment. As always I was greeted by 2 polite and friendly receptionists and seen without delay, the scan itself was quick and easy and everything was very well explained to me by the lovely Rachel. The premises are always pristine and it's generally such a wonderful place to go do the things none of us likes to do! ; ) 5 stars again ladies, keep it up. I would not go anywhere else.

I called today with an emergency and was seen the same day. Brilliant service. Then I was examined by Georgina and Heidi and I cannot praise them enough. I attended today as a new patient and I already knew they were great as my husband and son go there and I had been with them about 15 years ago too. Still excellent, if not even better! From the minute you walk in- the clinic is lovely, clean and welcoming, with super friendly and efficient receptionists to greet you. My dentist, Jade, was so kind, knowledgeable and friendly, and put me at ease despite having previous bad experiences and a fairly complex issue. She explained everything so clearly and devised a good plan for me which I am happy to follow. Thank you Jade, and all the wonderful team at Buckden. 5 stars to all of you.

I recently had an appointment with Georgiana Darabana, the hygienist at Buckden Dental Clinic, and I can honestly say I was so impressed.Georgiana is such a lovely person, really personable and she makes you feel completely at ease from the moment you sit down. She is incredibly gentle, yet so thorough in everything she does, and her professionalism shines through the entire appointment. You just know you are in very safe hands.The clinic itself is absolutely spotless, with such a clean, calm and pleasant feel to it. It really does make a difference when you walk into an environment like that, everything feels well looked after and thought through.Every single member of staff is warm, welcoming and so accommodating. You genuinely feel cared for and valued, not just as a patient but as a person.I have already recommended Buckden Dental Clinic, along with Denplan, to all of my friends, family and business associates, and I will continue to do so without hesitation.Thank you so much for the care and attention you give to me and my family. Absolutely wonderful clinic. They provided an emergency appointment at short notice and fast treatment. Everything was very clearly explained and the private fee was reasonable. Heidi and all the other staff I met were amazing! I’m really nervous/scared of the dentist and this was my first visit in over 11 years! They made me feel super comfortable, they spoke to me not down at me and didn’t make me feel bad for not going sooner!I can’t thank the ladies at Buckden dental enough I’m finally going ahead with treatment I should have had done years ago! I was absolutely petrified of going to the dentist. Due to Chemotherapy and other issues, my teeth were in very, very poor condition. Everyone at this dentist are amazing. I have very little anxiety now. Dr.Georgie is the most compassionate, patient and caring person. I didnt feel judged at all. Since having my teeth done my confidence has improved no end. I literally cannot recommend this Dental Surgery enough. I am truly blessed with the treatment I receive.

My time with Debbie at Buckden Dental can only be described as one of the best things to ever happen for my self-esteem and self-confidence.When I first joined, my teeth were in a state of disrepair due to neglect, and I was extremely nervous about seeing a dentist. From day one, Debbie made me feel secure, safe, and genuinely acknowledged, without any judgement at all.After multiple treatments, my teeth have never been in better condition, and throughout every stage of the process she has been professional, knowledgeable, and reassuring. I will genuinely miss visiting her, and I want to extend this as a formal thank you for changing more than she may realise about how I see myself.A special shout out also to hygienist Georgiana who, again, understood my needs, what has led me to my situation, and for handling this with care and empathy.Otherwise, communication could definitely be improved, as could the booking of treatments and the overall management of the clinic. There are often very limited options on the portal for online-booked appointments, and when this was raised, I was told to call and book instead... making the online system rather inefficient if not all available time slots are actually offered. This makes booking appointments unnecessarily difficult for some, especially during working hours.I would strongly recommend improving accessibility for patients so they don’t have to rely on phone calls along with a small selection of appointments offered online. It shouldn’t be the patient’s responsibility to navigate unnecessary barriers just to book an appointment.A more streamlined running of the clinic would elevate this to six-stars instead of five.

I used to hate going to the dentist with a passion! However Debbie has been patient & worked with me. She's gotten to know me - I can now raise my hand & she will stop, immediately.She talks me through what's going to happen if it's out of the ordinary & checks in regularly. My teeth & gums are the best they've ever been! 0-1 bleed when she does the prick test. I no longer spit blood every time I brush.Genuinely, look forward to my dentist appointment to see how good my teeth are! The hyginest is wonderful too, very stern but has great advice & is understanding of anxiety.Reception is welcoming & friendly too. All in all, highly recommend & worth the money

My first appointment with Buckden Dental for a broken tooth. A very smart, modern reception/waiting area with very friendly knowledgeable reception staff. The appointment with Dr Kamaljit involved an examination, x-ray and a discussion on the treatment options available. The surgery itself was very modern and the equipment on display was very comprehensive and impressive. Dr Kamaljit explained everything to me clearly and calmly and was obviously a very knowledgeable professional.Overall, an excellent experience from an extremely well set up and friendly practice, from reception through to treatment.

Hands down best dentists I’ve ever used. All so professional yet super friendly and lovely. Even today, Christmas Eve of all days, in the face of a medical emergency for one of their own staff their professionalism shone through and the still managed to give my son his dental check!! Had my first appointment at Buckdon Dental Clinic last week for a check up, I was made to feel very comfortable from the moment I walked in. All staff were very courteous, and a thorough check up of my mouth and teeth was carried out, and another appointment made for the work I needed doing in less than 4 weeks. I speak highly of the dentist I saw. and so pleased that I've managed to find a Dental Practice like this one, who gives such care to their patients.

Short version; A huge thank you to Debbie, Georgiana and everybody else in the team. All of the staff at Buckden Dental Clinic are extremely welcoming, warm and friendly. If you are nervous about dentists, like I used to be, then this is 100% the place for you to go.The detailed version;I wanted to take the time to write a detailed review of Buckden Dental Clinic because of the impact it’s had on my life and confidence. I didn’t go to the dentist for a long time (over 15 years) and as you can imagine over time my dental hygiene got worse to the point I was both embarrassed about going to the dentist, and afraid of the amount work that might be required.The reception team are all lovely! They’re extremely friendly and inviting and got me seen and signed up on the same day when I called up one day for an emergency appointment due to an extremely bad toothache. I explained to them that I was nervous, and they paired me with Debbie whom they explained is fantastic with nervous patients.Debbie is an absolute star and immediately made me feel more relaxed and comfortable, dismissing any worries I had about my “bringing a dirty car to an MOT” mindset and immediately went to work in checking my teeth reassuring me that there wasn’t nearly as much work needed as what I had worked myself up into expecting. To put it into perspective how much Debbie has helped my mindset to allow me to relax, I had to catch myself nearly falling asleep during a filling!I was also referred to the clinic’s dental hygienist, Georgiana. This was probably the part I was least looking forward, worried about how much it was going to hurt. Georgiana is brilliant, she used plenty of numbing cream for my first session and would constantly check on me and re-assure me throughout the process - which was nowhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be. The confidence difference I have in my teeth after the work Georgiana has done is night and day. I used to do my best to not let me teeth show in any situation, and now I can laugh and smile without needing to worry!Truly, I would like to thank everybody at the Buckden Dental Clinic for being so welcoming and completely changing my mindset about going to the dentist - and a special thank you to Debbie and Georgiana for the wonderful work you have done for me.

As always a very warm welcome, the orthodontist Natasha was just amazing so calming (I am a nervous patient) explained everything and put me at ease. If you are like me and get very nervous then I would highly recommend Buckden Dental Clinic you are in safe hands, they are so understanding, take their time and talk you through eveything.

I already had left a 5-star review after my first visit, but I don't think it does the service justice, so I wanted to elaborate.I have always been deathly afraid of dentists, to the point I hadn't been for 20 years, knowing my teeth were in bad shape. I had a crisis this year that I knew would result in me having to visit a dentists. I found Buckden highly recommended online, but I still thought I'd have the worst time. I knew I'd have to have a number of extractions, and a long treatment plan, which really scared me, I remember turning up for the first time, shaking and crying too scared to open the door I couldn't even sit in the waiting room!Anyway, I have now had those extractions. I have visited Buckden 6 times now, and I cannot express how grateful and thankful I am for Aishah (my dentist) and all the staff there who truly make me feel comfortable, calm, respected, and cared for from start to finish, I have never had a service I can recommend more.I can firmly say now that the terror has faded away, and I genuinely have full faith and full knowledge that I'm in the safest hands. If you're looking online for reviews like I was, deathly afraid, terrified of what it's going to be like, I couldn't recommend Buckden more. It truly is the best thing I have ever done, the best thing I have ever found and it has changed my life.Thanks Buckden!

I had an appointment with dental hygienist team Georgiana & Kerry yesterday and was really impressed. I usually dread these visits but this time it was a completely different experience. Georgiana is not only very skilled and knowledgeable but also clearly loves her job which really came across. She explained everything in a way that was helpful and easy to understand, and gave me lots of great advice I can actually use. I left feeling much more positive than I ever have after a hygienist appointment - she made a real difference. Highly recommended!

From someone who has always struggled with odontophobia (fear of dental treatment and management) they are exceptionally mindful, patient and understanding professionals, always seeking my best interests.
